Allyssa A. Gordon, MSEd

Mental Health Practitioner

Hello there! I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from UW-Superior in Social Work and my Masters at UW-Stout in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am completing clinical training toward a license in Professional Counseling and practicing under the supervision of Dan Maki, MA, LMFT, LICSW, in pursuit of independent clinical license.

Though I do have an interest of working with all ages and backgrounds, I am most interested in working with adults, individuals, and couples. I aim to provide a collaborative, comfortable, safe, and supportive environment. Some common approaches I tend to use include cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, person-centered care, and psychodynamic theory.

I am also trained in the use of Brainspotting to treat trauma and stuck emotions.

Some concerns I have previously worked with people on include:

mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, depression, anxiety and fear, trauma, grief and loss, addiction, substance use, self-esteem, relationship issues, life transitions, domestic violence, anger management

I look forward to meeting you and assisting in your new journey to a better you!
