Mental Health Practitioner / Practice Administrative Coordinator
Nicole earned Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. She also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Superior. She holds a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) credential in Minnesota (#31001) and a Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) in Wisconsin (#134023-121). Nicole is under the supervision of Maija Swanson, MSW, LICSW, LADC (MN), LCSW (WI), and Jessica Ladner, MSW, LICSW, as she pursues her Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) License. She plans to pursue independent licensing in Wisconsin as well.
Nicole enjoys working with all ages though has expertise and interest working with children 5+ years old. She has an extensive history of working with children and families in varying roles prior to choosing to pursue therapy. Some common frameworks used in her practice include Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and somatic literacy.
Nicole strives to make therapy a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all those she sees with the ultimate goal of her clients walking away feeling heard and valued. She is compassionate, energetic, and fun. She enjoys playing games and using art projects with children and youth to express themselves.
In addition to her clinical duties, Nicole is providing intake and administrative support to the practice.
Nicole sees clients out of our Duluth and Virginia offices and is able to provide therapy via Telehealth in MN and WI.
